On January 09, 2019 SRSO organized a seminar on National Socio-Economic Registry NSER, a survey program supported by Federal Government of Pakistan under the name ‘Qaumi Khushali Survey’. The program was attended by the Chief guest Chairman District South Malik Fayyaz, Chairman UC29 Hijrat Colony Saleem Khan Tanoli, Yasir Baloch Coordinator MNA Abdul Shakoor Shaad, vice President Abdul Munawar Qureshi, Karamullah Waqasi, opposition leader KMC, SHO Gizri Asadullah Mangi, Kutchi Community Leader Hanif Memon, Chairman UC4 Lyari Hussain Chanio Social Activist Falak Naz, Coordinator Pakistan Press me Naseem Shaikh, PTI Leader Ms Talat Naureen and others. A large number of public also attended the awareness program organized in the local hotel.
The program started with the recitation of Holy Quran, after recitation Mr Moosa Tunio briefed the purpose of the gathering.
Addressing the program Mr Tunio said the Federal Government under the charge of BISP is conducting a survey to find out the neediest persons among the population of Pakistan as to contribute to help them socially and financially and to provide the public with basic facilities. Mr Tunio told the survey will be noted on the electronic devices which will be stored with the database of BISP and will be accessible to the authorities in position. He assured that the data stored in the database is fully secure and no data can be used to manipulate the social or political status of any person. He further told that the survey consist of 68 questions which will be answered by the legible head 3 the family, the set of 68 questions is divided in various sections. Non-availability of the item will skip the section making it shorter and easier to answer.
Mr Tajuddin Siddiqi UC Chairman Agra Taj summarized the event with the saying of the Holy Prophet PBUH to work for humanity; to serve the humanity is the greatest reward. He assured full support to the teams of Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO) in the survey.
Ms Talat Naureen PTI Leader, member of the Cabinet of Pakistan thanked the team SRSO South for inviting her to participate in the social work and appreciated the initiative by the federal government. She said that such activities be supported by the authorities free from any political influence and the neediest must be provided with the basic needs.
The Chairman DMC South Mr Malik Fayyaz also appreciated the step. He said this survey is the type which the other countries have conducted 40 years ago.
He was of the mind that this survey will bring a good change in the social welfare of the people of Pakistan. Talking about the Rashan Card provided in the government of Zia-ul-Haq Khan and Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, but was unfortunately discontinued by some political forces. With this survey we will be able to target neediest and help them accordingly to their needs. Mr Fayyaz emphasized to support the SRSO in the task and offer to provide them their offices and manpower if required.
